Monclova Christian Academy’s Thunder Lunch

If you would like to participate in our Thunder lunch please sign up by following the link below. The Academy offers Venmo as a payment option now. If you would like to pay with Venmo please scroll down and click on the link at the bottom of this page. Information about Venmo and how to pay with it can be found below. If you are not paying with Venmo the other payment option the Academy will accept is a check. Please make all checks payable to Impact.

Information about Venmo

1. Launch the app

Launch the Venmo app on your mobile device. (You can’t send and receive money through the website).

2. Hit “Pay or Request”

Find the Pay or Request button on the home screen—it will either say “Pay or Request,” or it will look like a pencil and a square.

3. Enter the name (@mrbcministry) 

Enter the username, phone number, or email of the person(s) you’d like to pay or charge. Make sure you’ve got it exactly right, as you wouldn’t want to pay a different account. 

4. Enter the amount

If you want to send $50, enter “50” in the field with the dollar sign to the right of the account name.

5. Leave a note

In the “What’s it for” field, located below the account name, please make this related to what you are sending money for and put as many details as possible so we can keep track of the funds coming in! 

6. Change the privacy setting (optional)

At the bottom right of the screen is the privacy setting, which you can tap to change. “Public” indicates that everyone can see this transaction; “Friends” indicates that the transaction is only visible to the sender, recipient, and their Venmo friends; and “Private” indicates that it’s only visible to the sender and the recipient.

7. Choose your action

Tap on either “Request” or “Pay” in the blue bar, depending on which action you want to do.

8. Confirm

Tap on the green confirmation bar that will appear at the bottom of the screen. If it asks for the last four of the phone number, please put 6691

9. Check your email

You will receive an email confirming the transaction.

10. Add us as a friend (optional)

If you are planning on using Venmo in the future, add us as a friend and it will make payments easier as our name will pop up for you!
