Music

The music department at MCA begins in the elementary years as students learn the fundamentals of rhythm and music and continues all the way through junior high and high school, allowing students to grow and develop their skills through participation in choir and band. Students perform in competitions and at community events through the year as well as two major concerts/programs hosted at Monclova Christian Academy. Through music, our staff desires that students are able to read music proficiently, understand how to work with others to achieve success, use what they have learned in music to be an active participant in corporate worship, and view every moment of life as an act of worship.

Art Classes

The primary objectives of Art at MCA are to learn and reinforce the concepts of color, shape, line, and space in a variety of mediums and methods and to encourage creativity based on skill level. Our goal is for students to grow in their ability to think creatively and develop the skills to put those thoughts into action and to recognize God’s creation around them so they can appreciate the beauty of His design.
